Marwan is an Egyptian architect based in the UAE. He received his Bachelor of Architecture with a Magna cum laude from the American University of Sharjah, where he took on several research assistant positions and served as a teaching assistant in art/architecture history and theory classes. He was also part of the American institute of architecture students where he served as an activity’s coordinator.

Professionally, he had interned at Ardh, working on the schematic development of a nursery in Jumeirah, as well as at Shahira Fahmy’s Practice, focusing on cultural research and conceptual design of projects in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia.

His third-year project was nominated for the 2019 RIBA Bronze Medal. He was the recipient of the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award 2021 along with Nour ElBery and Rashid Modibbo. He was also a finalist in the Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza floating schools 2020 competition.
